Design Aids

• DAP™–3 Design Assistant divides a snow melting heater load between an APS–4C Snow Switch^® and the minimum number of SC–40C Satellite Contactors required.
• DAP™–4 Design Assistant performs the same calculations as DAP™–3 while adding a pro forma bill-of-materials that includes cost information in a report format.
• Drafting Blocks: If you are using AutoCad^® 12 or later, or another drafting or illustration package capable of reading AutoCad^® 12 files, we have published a library containing blocks for convenient snow melting and deicing system electrical design. The library includes symbols for ETI sensor and control products along with commonly used auxiliary equipment.
• Snow Melting Specifications: Our Specification for Section 15778 Electronic Snow/Ice System is currently available in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word file formats. I recommend the Acrobat versions as they are both smaller in file size and of better quality.
