For the SST-2 the temperature set point is either 40 °F (4.44 °C) or 175 °F (79.44 °C) depending on the particular model being used. The set point is the temperature the unit uses for switching on and off with a 2 °F deadband. For the 40 °F (4.44 °C) model the unit will engage the heaters when it senses a temperature at or below 38 °F (3.33 °C) and disengage heaters when it senses a temperature of 42 °F (5.55 °C). For the 175 °F (79.44 °C) model the unit will engage the heaters when it senses a temperature at or below 173 °F (78.33 °C) and disengage heaters when it senses a temperature of 177 °F (80.55 °C).
